Thanks to everyone for their outstanding and generous support to the Juno Beach Centre!
Canada’s memorial in Europe honours those who fought in World War II. We seek to protect the legacy of Canada’s Second World War veterans in a manner that is interesting, relevant and educational to new generations, today, tomorrow, and in the future. Covid-19 has hit us hard, so, we are re-grouping and re-establishing our fundraising initiatives.
I have completed my virtual walk from Juno Beach, to Caen, Verrieres Ridge, Falaise and Dieppe. My aim was to walk 359 kms before Remembrance Day, since 359 Canadians died on D-Day. It is important that we remember those who served in World War II and those who serve today. The Juno Beach Centre helps preserve those accomplishments and educate Canadians and Europeans about our wonderful country.
