Please help us make this year's The Secret 3K - 2020 in support of Girl Guides of Canada one of the best ever

Running should be simple - you put on your shoes and go. But for too many girls and women around the world, running isn’t simple. Instead, many must run in secret. They run in secret under threats of violence. They run in secret for fear of being called prostitutes. And they run in secret in the hope that the next generation of girls and women won’t have to do the same.

In the worldwide sisterhood, we believe that equality for some is not enough. Equality must be for all, no matter where in the world you want to run. In solidarity with those girls and women in Afghanistan and across the world who must run in secret, we too, will run a secret race; The Secret 3K.

At its core, The Secret 3K is about moving the needle on gender equality. Girls and women across the world should not live in fear of running or walking outside.

At Girl Guides of Canada, we understand the importance of providing a safe space for girls and women that champions empowerment. Our vision it to create a better world, by girls. With that in mind, I’ll be running the Secret 3K in Toronto on March 4, 2020 along with other girls and women from GGC. As the race’s charity partner, GGC’s goal is to raise $20,000 for our girl membership subsidy program.

Donations from this event will help make sure that more girls have access to the safe, inclusive, fun and skill building environment that Guiding offers. We need your help, and girls and women in Canada and across the world need to know you support them. Thank you for your support!
