I am participating in the “Santa Shuffle” to assist the Salvation Army in its work aimed at addressing the impacts of poverty in Thunder Bay. The funds will be used by the local Salvation Army to provide practical assistance such as food, clothing, and shelter – as well as other valuable programs – for those in need. All donations stay in Thunder Bay and go directly to the Salvation Army and are not used to cover the cost of the event (which is sponsored by the Running Room). You will receive a tax receipt for any donation over $10.00.

I have goals for this event! I would like to beat my time for the 5 km (3.11 mile) course (from last year) of 26 minutes and 48 seconds, and raise $3,000.00 for the Salvation Army. I'm already half-way to that goal and, with the support of many donors, I know that this goal is possible! If you make a donation of any size, I will report back to you afterwards as to how it went.  :)

I have been on the local Advisory Board for the Salvation Army in Thunder Bay for 20 years and have been so impressed by the tireless efforts of the men and women of this organization. Thank-you for any support you may decide to contribute to this very important work that the Salvation Army does in our community, and for backing me in my running effort!
