Running Room IT - Help Desk Analyst

The Running Room is seeking an enthusiastic, tech-minded individual to join our Help Desk team. As a member of our internal IT support team, you’ll be exposed to a wide scope of responsibilities and will have the opportunity to work with all aspects of the IT infrastructure, from end users and desktops up to core server, storage, and network equipment, and everything in between.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for all technical issues via phone, email, and ticket, and own those issues until they are resolved.
  • Escalate issues to the appropriate teams / personnel while maintaining ownership.
  • Perform local troubleshooting at our main office and remote support to our retail stores.
  • Work in a fast paced environment where priorities can change on a daily basis.
  • Support, troubleshoot, and perform regular maintenance tasks on the IT infrastructure, including Windows servers, VMWare and Hyper-V hosts, Cisco networking equipment, and numerous applications.
  • Utilize a knowledge base and documentation to find solutions to unique problems and develop and document new solutions.

Required Skills:

  • Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting PC and Mac hardware
  • Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows 7, 8, 10, and various Windows and MacOS applications
  • Experience with Windows Server 2008R2, 2012, 2012R2, 2016, Active Directory
  • Experience with remote user support and troubleshooting
  • Strong technical writing and documentation skills
  • Ability to independently research and investigate issues and implement solutions in line with industry best practices

Additional skills:

  • Azure, Exchange Online, Federation Services, Office 365
  • Windows Deployment Services and MDT/WAIK, endpoint management
  • PowerShell, VBS, or similar scripting experienced would be an asset
  • Cisco CCNA would be a strong asset

Education:

Bachelor's degree, completion of a network administration or sysadmin diploma or degree or equivalent program or experience will all be considered. MCP, MCSA, MCSE, Cisco CCNA or equivalent experience would be an asset.

Experience in a help desk environment is a huge asset but alternative experience like PC repair or network administration is also valuable. All levels of experience and education will be considered. If you think this is a good fit, please apply!
