$10,500 cheque presentation to Calgary Police Air Service Unit (HAWCs)
It had been a long winter but one of the best runs in the snow had been the Resolution Run in Calgary. An amazing turn out of runners and walkers allowed the Running Room to donate $10,500 to the Calgary Police Air Service Unit (HAWCs). When John Stanton paid a visit to our city in April he handed over this very welcome and much appreciate donation to Sgt Gary Creasser, a member of the CPS HAWCs Air Service Unit. Donations like this help to keep HAWCs in the air and create a safer city for all of us who live and work in Calgary. Thank you to everyone who took park in the Calgary Resolution Run 2008 and we hope to see you back again December 31st 2009! It was good to see John in our city and as you can see he is really a Calgary fan at heart!

Jasper Get Fit

Transplant Trot - Fredericton, NB

Easter - Markham
Tons of fun for our training program members, run club, and staff! Eggs were hidden around town and a clue sheet was written up and given to everyone before their practice. Prizes were given out to the winning team and individuals who found and gathered the most eggs. A potluck feast was donated by various members of our Run/Walk Club and training program participants and was feasted upon by all after practice! Easter bunnies of all heights and speed were seen running around Markham that eve!

We knew Spring would get here in the end and not a day too soon! With the sun showing its face and clear skies the 2nd Annual Hustle for Hunger took the to pathways for a 10km 5km and 3km run or walk. Over 350 participants enjoyed the fun in the sun as they helped bring funds and food to the Calgary Interfaith Food Bank. Lots of Running Room clinics made this their goal event so if you were not one of them this year be sure to circle the date for April 4th 2010 and come and make this event even bigger next year!!
