$1000.00 cheque presentation to YMCA - Sudbury, ON
We presented our cheque to Donna Smrek of the YMCA (who also used to manage our store) during Wednesday night practice. It was a small turnout due to the heat and humidity that we have been experiencing in Sudbury. But many of the key players and race organizers were there. Due to changing the race day and time to New Years day at noon we had a much larger turnout for the run and were able to donate 1000$. That is DOUBLE last years donation!!! We had a lot of comments this ear on how pleasant it was to run at noon New YEars Day as well as on the organization of the race. It was a great hit due to the minor changes we made this year!
