Cambridge Classic Mile- June 14th, 2008

Team Diabetes Canada is heading to watch as well as participate in an outstanding upcoming event in Cambridge.

The Classic Mile is growing to be one of the world’s most exciting and competitive one mile races. The event attracts a host of international caliber runners from around the globe. The first runner to cross the line in under four minutes (4:30 for women) will win a Mercedes-Benz B200!

This event offers vintage style strawberries and ice cream to all participants. There will be a live band in the centre of the midfield that keeps the fun going throughout the day. A post celebrations party will be in place for all the Team D participants, alumni, and family on this day.

This year, we are inviting you to join us. It will be a celebration, and a time to reconnect with fellow Team D friends. We plan to have a bus leave from Toronto on the morning of Saturday June 14th, returning back to Toronto that night. There is no charge for transportation.

Entry Fee for the Mile is $25.00, 5 km is $35.00, and Corporate Relay will be $400.00. Please contact Team Diabetes Canada regarding the registration for this event. See you there!

I hope to forward your message to Brother Henry from Guelph ... the reason is that this seems to be an awesome event to attend with his wife ....an opportunity for Henry to re-acquaint with Fred and Cara, when he met them and cheered me on in Rome, 2006 ...all in prep for his 10 k walk with Team D.in Kelowna, October 2008 ???
