Who takes a multivitamin daily.

I have no medical problems, but am considering taking one.

If so, recommendations. Confused

Everything I have read says you should be able to ingest what you need every day. The only supplements that I take are fish oil and a low dose aspirin.

I have always agreed with this & hence not taking one previously.

My question has now started, as my diet is changing a little. I am trying to lower body fat percentage & hence watch my intake a little more. Have lost 20 pounds in 4 months. This has been a combination of exercise & trying to eat better. I wonder as I limit caloric intake, whether you miss certain vitamins, etc.

Anyway, not sure.

PS. I do not take Low dose ASA. I hope the anticoagulant effect of my glass or two of red wine, is helping!! Laughing

Good point. It cant really hurt. I read a recent study about people taking too many multi vitamins.

Me too. Making sure I'm getting everything on the list from food sounds like a lot of work. Smile

I take one mostly due to the fact that I know my diet is lacking key items.

Yep...for me too. I am thinking about checking out 7systems. It's a Canadian company. I'll be straight ahead about this. It's a company that my coach Mike Neill has been working with so if anyone does order product from them put in MikeN as a coach code...it's not like he's making a fortune from referrals...I think $15.00.

One of the main reasons I am thinking about supplements. I have a small appetite. I lost 5% of my body weight while training for my first FullM where I BQ'd. I went from 106 pounds to 100 pounds. I have not yet put all that weight back on...and now heading into Boston training in a cold Canadian winter I'm a little concerned.

^^^ I have a massive appetite... unquenchable. Spent most of my adult life weighing over 200 lbs (if you're keeping score, that's two of you! Wink). Under 190 these days, but still in the Clydesdale category. Smile 6 feet tall, so not so bad, but not a typical running physique.

I generally eat quite healthy, but still like the insurance of the vitamin. Especially for things like Vitamin D in the winter, I don't drink milk (I also take calcium to cover that off too).
