Hi everyone,
Super excited about being registered for the Ottawa Half Marathon. If anyone is looking or interested in sharing accommodation for overnight stay from Saturday to Sunday as well as carpooling, please let me know.

| Hi Derek, I just registered on the forum for the sole purpose of letting other runners know we have room in our hotel and van for anyone who would like to share expenses. There are only two of us going (we are running the full) and we have a suite at the Minto Suites downtown, less than a 10 min walk from the start/finish. We had another runner back out on us, and both of us are on tight budgets and would really like to find someone to help us with expenses. We will leave Belleville on Sat. morning and return Sunday after the run. e-mail me if you're interested, and I can tell you a little more about us! rjsoule@xplornet.com. My name is Julie. |

Thanks for your reply but I wished you had msged me sooner. I had to book a room early about a few weeks ago as everything was filling up. I am coming from Toronto. But the accommodation I could have still shared with you and helped you out with the cost. Unfortunately, my hotel room is booked and there are NO refunds on it. Good luck in your full marathon and perhaps next time!

Oh that's too bad we were too late...we just found out last week that one of our runners wouldn't be coming, otherwise we would have posted sooner!
not sure how badly you want to save $$ but you may be able to "sell" your room to someone who really needs one...since so many hotels fill up that weekend! just a suggestion...We are also on the 401, you could still carpool, 2/3 of the way anyways.I don't think we're going to find anyone so if your situation changes for whatever reason, or you know of anyone who might be interested, you can let me know.
